It was such an expensive show so no surprise it has been cancelled.

It did get better, and the finale was good. But the ending left a load of unanswered questions.

Yeah Awake has been my most anticipated drama along with Alcatraz. For the last few months I have boycutted watching any TV series including Firnge which I love. Its just I am fed up with cancellations with open endings and good tv shows drawn out over too many seasons just for the sake of it. But then I felt empty not watching anything new apart from Lovefilm rentals of old tv series. So I have resigned to the fact that I'll have to accept it and I should not let these cancellations affect me. Some current shows are just too good to be missing out on even if they end up being cancelled with no ending. Awake is one of them, its getting great reviews so far, though many seem are disappointed with Alcatraz right now.

I am loving Alcatraz! (I have seen 6 episodes so far). It has the mystery of Lost without it being overshadowing or the plot solely being driven by question marks. It has a story of the week each episode focuses on and brief mentions of the overall arc.

I should add that Revenge is another great series, loosely based around the idea of the Count of Monte Cristo, but in a modern setting.

I haven't heard any details about it coming to UK TV but it is definitely worth watching.

Watched the first 2 episodes of 4400 on Netflix thanks to Flabber and Raj for telling me about the series. However, I just discovered that the series was cancelled with a cliffhanger and no proper ending so I am going to abandon despite the fact that I love what I have seen so far in the first 2 episodes.
