Have actually bothered to weigh what I cook for the first time ever and done a calorie postmortem. Apparently my pasta dish came to 603 and nearly hit all the right macros... 54% carbs, 29% fat, 17% protein. Not bad. o/

Have found using Fry Light makes a huge difference - no longer wasting calories on oil. Olive oil for flavour is fine, but cooking off everything in oil? Don't need to. Easy calorie saving there. o/

Weight has been fluctuating a bit, but I think on the whole I'm maintaining, which is ok. Just need to refocus now and shift some more pounds.

Have some more physio starting next week, so hopefully I'll be able to get back into proper exercise soon. :cross:

I'm really dead impressed by all the Zumba-ing - it looks bloody energetic and it's really brave to put yourself out there. Group exercise classes scare me, that's why I used to run.

Well we all seem to have gone a bit quiet on here  Thanks for inspiring us again asamaic and I really need to start using the spray light again.

I have had a stupid cold all week so been dosing up on medication and although I don't feel particularly ill if I try to exert myself I start coughing which is so annoying. I need it to go asap as need and actually want to do some exercise again.

Well done Preston1990 with all the exercise o/

Greetings fellow weightwatchers, both participants and supporters :D

I'm mega impressed to learn of your new healthy cooking regime, asamaic. Great tip about using the spray oil too o/

I hope your next physio sessions go well - fingers crossed you'll be exercising again before you know it. :cross:

Sorry to hear that you've got a cold Diane :shifty: .........but hey, its only a cold  you need to man up and get those exercises done anyway  .......just sayin' ;) :outta:

I'm another pound down this week and feeling pretty smug about myself I can tell you  ;) :D

I'll be celebrating with corned beef sandwiches with lashings of two types of homemade chutney. Food of the Gods! :D

Well as a cheerleader on this topic I have been pretty rubbish so many apologies. Well done to Preston for continued weight loss though I have missed out on long descriptive and incredibly funny accounts of your latest zumba and gym capers and hope to have an update pretty soon. Diane, you are doing well to maintain and I admire those walks in the dark ('man up' indeed -- you are stronger than the lot of them!) which you continue to do in spite of your busy work/family schedule. Well done to you.

Hope the cooking is continuing to go well, asamaic and admire you counting all those calories as well as preparing dishes. I mainly worry about whether I have cooked enough as son has taken up running seriously and always has a big appetite!

Au contraire  EJ, you've been just great o/

Thanks for those nice comments too!

Rather sadly I have no more incredibly amusing accounts of gym and exercise class life at the moment. As way of compromise though I offer you these little snippets of insight into what's happening currently in my life.

My weighlifting instructor suggested that I should incorporate some face pulls into my resistance programme. I asked him if grimacing in a gurning kind of fashion, while I did my reps could really help my lifting performance. ...... I needn't have worried - this is what he really meant..... https://youtu.be/rep-qVOkqgk?t=15s

Incidentally, I look quite different to the guy in the video - my hair is grey and my training shoes are just plain black. ;)

In other news my 90 year old mother-in-law was puzzled (and a little worried, I think  ) to hear that I had started going to spinning classes. ;)

Despite eating both portions of a Charlie Bigham's Thai red chicken curry with fragrant rice for supper last night (1204 kcals) 8O - I hope to be still in line for some weight loss come Monday. :cross:

Well done on maintaining in difficult circumstances, Diane o/ Do take care out there in the dark :nono:

Keep us posted about the physio asamaic. Hope everything goes well o/ :D

For the first time since I've been going, I didn't feel that I was the worst performer in my spinning class this morning. Sure it was tough going and I was completely lathered, exhausted and hated the shouty instructor with a passion - but hey I got through those 45 mins of torture and emerged at the other side of it a better person for it o/

I've lost another two pounds over the last week and I'm pleased to say that even my smallest clothes are miles too big for me now. I've had to punch new holes in all of my belts and cinching in my trouser waists further just looks ridiculous now. Time for some new smaller clothes. Woohoo! _0^

Good luck to all those other WWs (visible and invisible) with a weighday coming up. :cross: :cross:

Back to back Zumba and Pilates classes tomorrow for me. Be good and have fun whatever you are doing everyone. :D
