the WeightWatchers thread's only post in verse
I'm gobsmacked, shocked and filled with awe
no-one has written me a poem before

I post my results, I await your response
I think of you constantly in Zumba dance
I smile with delight on my spinning class days
another pound lost and I'll get your praise

Jojojoanne you are the best
you cheer me on like a woman possessed
It's great to have a supporter so true

Loving the poetry

Try this one then.....


My desire to lose weight screams to be fed
It rips me away from my warm cosy bed
And returns me back to the spinning room
At stupid o’clock through the cold winter gloom

I set up my bike, it’s a perfect machine
An extension of me, it fits like a dream
Together we’ll do this. The beat fills my head
I’m driving my heels down, I’m turning my legs.

My trainer is screaming, the sweat stings my eyes
My torso is soaking, Resistance is high
You lot are freewheeling! Speed it up! Give me more!
It’s like being in the army and this is a war

Fortyfive minutes is all that it takes
My legs are on fire, I ignore all the aches
My lungs they are bursting. My whole body sore
Sweat puddles on down to the studio floor

Hundreds of kcals burnt off every class
A five minute cooldown then off for a splash
In the pool, then some weights in the gym
I’m offsetting calories, Will I ever be trim?

A quick lukewarm shower then it’s home in the car
Kit in the washer, bag by the door.
The same thing tomorrow, how long will it take?
I could murder a coffee and a nice slice of cake!
