Now Sunny Saver I really have to work on you to give up those awful Pringles having worked hard on asamaic and Preston, I don't want you leading them astray. I am not anti-crisp but definitely anti Pringles as they are full of the worst additives and flavourings and you really should abandon them right now. And remember -- I know where you live so I can call round and check. Sorry if that sounds threatening but I really hate Pringles -- dreadful.

Well done to you, asamaic on your 5K run and glad to hear you had no niggles and long may your ankle and knee remain pain free and getting stronger.

Raj -- admire your willpower on that cake resolution.

Baty, hope things improve for your OH and you can manage your walks, etc. Admire your no cake outlook -- wish I could follow that one.

My only resolution is not to snack at all in the evening. After supper I will not go downstairs to the kitchen for a snack! I got into very bad ways over Christmas and ate far too much late at night. I know this sounds a very small thing after 5K runs, giving up cake etc but little steps....

Now where are Preston and Diane????

I actually don't eat Pringles much - more of a Kettle Chip and Tyrells of Burts girl myself! So no need to worry about me b*ying them! I was only offering to help out a friend in need.

Best to just cut out one thing at a time from your diet

For example cut down on alcohol or cans of fizzy juice

That will take care of alot of the weight
For the last bit and muscle definition you need exercise and a stricter diet however i have always found once you cut one thing out you begin to enjoy other things which more often than not are the healthier alternative and so moving to a stricter diet isnt so hard

I'm in hospital, visiting my poor OH who has had an op. I go in for10 and stay till around 3pm. Unfortunately, due to parking difficulties I often come in earlier and go to the canteen for breakfast......egg, mushrooms, beans and bacon if they still have any. To cut the calories I have a sensible evening meal.....honest. the exercise I'm getting from walking must be cutting into the stogg I've eaten. Well hopefully!
Hope everyone else is keeping up their regimes

Eating. :red:

I've been indulging recently what with the good news (new job!) but I did do another parkrun on Saturday, so that makes it three for January, plus one stint volunteering. I was hoping to do two parkruns a month, so have met my target. Now, to keep it up in February...

Got a Nutribullet over Christmas and a month in I can honestly say I love it as it literally pulverizes everything you put in it and is great for making meal replacement drinks. Can also be used for soups and sauces.

Or busy going our for meals  I have 2 more birthday meals to attend and as I am back to square one I really do need and want to get back on track. Thanks to Betty Botter who has just posted a fabulous 8 week weight watchers programme through my door - loads of fabulous recipes and healthy lifestyle tips. I have just had a cull of my wardrobe as because I have got a bit fat I am just wearing the same clothes day in and day out virtually living in walking boots non of which make you feel nice and if I am being brutally honest looking a bit of a scruff. My mindset is thinking if I start to make more of an effort to how I look on the outside I will make more of an effort with what I put inside. Obviously I will still be wearing my walking boots for proper exercise walking. Hope that everyone else is doing well
