Loving your meal ideas asamaic. I really need to do the same.

Have a fabulous time in Spain Preston1990 and don't diet on holiday that is just rubbish.

I have a few long days as work so have b*ght the Asda prepared salads to save time. I have made some celery soup for tomorrow evening so getting iinto the healthy mindset.

How is everyone else doing?

Speaking of yummy and yet virtuous dishes, have you tried carottes rapées? It's very French. I only brought myself to order it for the first time the other day (when you're a natural piggy wig like me, choosing to order a plate of grated carrots is hard), but it was truly delicious. And simple!

Here's a recipe: http://www.davidlebovitz.com/carottes-rapee/
  1. seven large carrots
  2. half bunch of flat leaf parsley
  3. 2 to 3 soup spoons of olive oil
  4. 1 coffee spoon of sugar (avery scant teaspoon)
  5. some salt
  6. freshly ground pepper
Bon appetit. ;)

Your wish is my command, asamaic. IT IS WORTH IT! I've been trying not to snack in the evenings -- and so far successful. At least it means I am doing a very little something to try to lose a bit of weight.

You are doing really well, asamaic, getting back to those ParkRuns (with care as your ankle is still sensitive) and being vigilant on your eating. So keep up the good work!

Thank you to the WW cheerleaders. :)

I even managed to be good at an event with free food and free booze. o/

I'm going out for a (very belated) birthday meal at the weekend, so I'm expecting to undo some of the good work so far. Unless of course my trip to/from parkrun (I'm volunteering not running this week!) manages to balance out all the calories. I always seem to burn more than I think just getting to/from the park.

The weight has been falling off; I'm very pleased. The urge to eat something ridiculously unhealthy never goes away though!

Well done asamaic its a lovely feeling when the weight is falling off.
I have been eating healthily today but have been busy baking tonight - I have made 8 apple crumbles as still working my way through the apples and pears (I seriously can't waste food). I have used very little sugar plus used oats in the topping but the healthiest part is 5 are for other people.

You could have one if you lived near by.
My neighbours have fruit trees but don't cook (they used to just bin tree loads of fruit) but they know I love cooking and baking but have no one to cook for so they kindly give me tons and then I share what I have made with my neighbours and friends. 2 of the men had never even heard of a poached pear let alone had one :noo: and a couple had never had a homemade crumble and they are in their sixties 8O So basically a win win situation. I can do the cooking, they can eat it and nothing is wasted o/ I am actually quite saddened when I hear that people haven't tried proper food.
