I really think that you need to gen up on this subject raj. Try using your computer to find out what this is actually about. The offside rule was just an excuse to make smart arsed comments about a woman. It has gone on to include sexual innuendo and lewd remarks amongst other things.raj101 wrote:well i dont know what the fuss is about the offside rule.
not that i would know what it is, being a little indian.

Re: Football
not to worry Beate. its quite funny how that morphed from what i wrote this morning ' i dont know what the offside rule is' (ie because i am an indian and indians dont play football, which is why i dont know the meaning of the rule....gets in a few hours to 'i dont know what all the fuss is about the offside rule, i'm indian' lol which makes no sense at all. get it right you edjit people lol).Beate wrote:I don't doctor posts. but... fantastic how a self deprecatory comment to help calm things can be interpreted as a flame. brilliant stuff, keeps the debate alive!

Re: Football
My twopence view is this.
If someone was a racist towards my race but treated me with respect, I will have the utmost respect for him/her even if I had the feeling him/her doesnt really like me. There are millions of people who are sexist and they cant help it, it doesnt matter. Just dont hurt others with your prejudices or old fasioned un-pc opinions. I am prejudiced in many ways. I hate some people just because of their annoying grin! But they do nothing wrong to me and I will never want to hurt them in any way. I might even be a little racist too which I cant help and neither can anyone else with their own prejudices. But that all doesnt matter as long we respect and cause no harm to others.
But these two (imo, very unlikeable) idiots inadvertantly hurt women. They dont need to be sacked though becasue the whole issue would have ruined their careers anyway. They can feel unlucky being caught off camera but they should have know better. I see Raj's view but these are celebreties by choice and should be more aware of their positions and surroundings. The video clip where he asked the lady to tuck in his shirt was bloody well offensive, directly disrespecting her. In fact this was what he was actually sacked for and quite rightly so, what an a-hole.
But I dare any one here to say they have no prejudices or old fasioned un-pc views because then I swear you are not human! And no, I will not ever tell you what my prejudisms are
So it just all boils down to respect...hurt anyone then face the consequences.

Re: Football
I quite freely admit that I think we are PC gone mad in Britain and I am not very PC at all. However, me making private un pc comments at someone on tele or when I've put the phone down doesn't automatically make me a racist/sexist or prejudiced. It makes me a hypocrite maybe lol But borne out of frustration rather than bigotry.TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:My twopence view is this.
