Saw this on the first showing in the morning in Hong Kong.

This is very much like the last harry potter or twilight, splitting the last book info two. So the first whilst it did have some action was merely just telling the story.

This is long and it felt long. However it was entertaining enough.

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

I saw this on a double bill lst night with part one. The cinema wasn't even half full.

I'd not seen part one before and was really disappointed. Part 2 was better, but was too long and could have done with a different ending for me.

The screening was the result of a Kellogs competition, so there were Chocolate Poptarts, Boxes of Crave cereal and Rice Squares? I brought loads back for the office. 6/10

I was most annoyed to get home and find out that I was supposed to go see Black Mass last night but had forgotten :x

Edit to say, no bag search at Picture House Central
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

It was fine, nothing great, and then it ended and boy should it have been cut 2 minutes before the end!

Saw Part 1 and Part 2 at the Central PH and have to say I wasn't that impressed. I thought both were quite average and long winded.

Gotty, you just wrote 13 film reviews. Have you been on a binge this weekend?

The movie was rarely less than beautiful especially in the grand, rather lovely emptiness of its architectural scenery, but also sadly lacking exposition, plot development and plain old decent dialogue. JL was clearly shackled by the script and director, a waste of her abilities. The plot wasn't completely predictable fortunately, which kept me watching (note that I haven't read the last 2 books).

I thought there was a lost opportunity for some pointedly political conversations on the way to the Capitol between Peta and the others, that could have underlined the grey areas the story hinted at, and might have influenced Kat in her endgame decisions. I shall have to read the book to see if they were skirted by the movie.

Still the best young adult trilogy by a fair mark though.

I skipped the last five minutes to get a train - so my ending for the HG is basically a slow, snowy dissolve into nihilistic irrelevance for Kat.
