Saw this with a voucher. Both OH and I thought it was very boring and too long. Shame, I enjoyed Part 1. Also thought the ending was very, very predictable!
Spoiler
Show
Also why are films set in the future always have these naked zombie eating humans, living in the gutter or only come out in the dark etc. Just not original anymore.

Finally caught Mockingjay Part 2 tonight on a full cinema one night before it closes (the rest of the screens being devoted to bloody Star Wars (which I love dearly, but boy am I sick of hearing about!).

Just as I said last year, but now with knobs on, this felt like the second episode of a serial with a one year gap. Imagine watching eastenders tonight then having to wait a year before seeing the next part? Even shows on TV have done sort of resume or "previously". This had nothing. It just started exactly from where it stopped. There weren't even any opening credits or titles to speak of.

I'm not thick, but I can barely remember what I had for breakfast let alone a story from a year ago. I purposely have not even read the final book so as not to spoil who lives, dies and which boy she might chose!

As a final episode it ticked all the boxes. There could have been a bit more dialogue, a bit more substance to the story, and I oh so didn't need the last 2 minutes.
(And she ought to have binned the cat!)

Have to say I'm glad there's no more. They were really milking it to get an extra film out of it. It's now complete and I don't want to see more. I'll gladly watch it again/complete my DVD set of it though.

I loved the first two films of this trilogy.... or is it now a quartet or something. But Mockingjay part one and two somehow left me untouched. Mind the acting was great, the action good yet I was slightly bored and disappointed. I might have to sit through all four films to make up my mind why I liked the first two films of Hunger Games so much more than these last two. I'm slightly puzzled.

I have enjoyed all of the films in the series and thought this was the strongest one. Jennifer Lawrence was great as always but it was nice for the others to get their share of the screen time in this one. Donald Sutherland gave another chilling performance as President Snow and I really liked the new set pieces in this film, it was great to see more of the Capitol. It was actually a lot more suspenseful and thrilling than I imagined it would be. Will definitely be purchasing the DVD.

First film I've seen in the pictures for ages... enjoyed, apart from one scene where the suspense was just too much to bear!
