From Wed 19 Dec, download a voucher from Northern Rail to p*y £10 for unlimited one-day travel on its services from Thu 27-Sun 30 Dec 2012.

It's a brilliant deal, as you can hop on and hop off the entire network as often as you like for one day at £10. Children aged 5-15 can get tickets for £5.

Once you've downloaded the voucher, enter your travel details and print. Take it to the ticket office on the day to p*y £10 for your ticket. If your travel spans over a few days, you'll have to b*y more tickets as the voucher's only valid for one day.

There are 50,000 seats in the sale and you'll be able to see the £5 seats once you search for your journey. You must book by Tue 1 Jan 2013. You could save between £3 and £30 per journey, but there are no additional adult railcard discounts.

The offer's valid on intercity routes and connecting services such as Norwich to London, Chelmsford to Ipswich and more for weekend and weekday journeys, though they're not available during peak times.

Till Mon 14 JanFrom Thu 3 Jan book online at Eurostar* for travel between 17 Jan - 27 Mar 2013 (excluding 14-24 Feb for half-term). To get the deal, oddly you need to add tickets within the '26-59' age bracket, even if travellers don’t fall within that range. Eurostar has confirmed there won't be any issues regarding age when you board.

If £59 returns are available, you'll see £29.50 singles, though you must book an outbound and inbound fare to get the sale price. There's more chance of finding a £59 fare for journeys during the week, but there is availability for weekend getaways too. Returns to Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp are reduced to £69 from £79.

Tickets usually range from £69 - £309 so this is a cracker if you can find them. Eurostar says there will be 75,000 returns available but we reckon it’s best to book early as these get snapped up quickly.

Plus your Eurostar tickets get you 2for1 entry to attractions and museums around Paris, Brussels and Lille. Just show them at the door.

What's the deal?

From Sat 19 Jan, National Express is offering 50,000 one-way £1 coach tickets across the UK, when you b*y any of the following newspapers: Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror or The People till Sun 27 Jan 2013. We don't have all the info for the offer so do check the details in the paper. But here's what we know (we'll update you here).

Book by Sat 2 Feb for travel from Tue 22 Jan - Sat 2 Mar 2013, at least three days in advance.

You can get a return trip for £2.50 all-in when you add the 50p-ish cost of a paper. By comparison, full price London-Manchester singles cost £9-£29, so it's a decent saving.
