The questions/qualification is equivalent to a higher grade GCSE so imagine it will be similar stuff as to what you'll have to answer, the practice papers are multiple choice and you get a set time to complete them, it will then give you the result at the end and if you got a question wrong it gives you a quite detailed breakdown of how to get to the correct answer.

will pass this on......what is family learning??
Family Learning is something the schools in my area run but I think its done elsewhere in the country, both primary & secondary, you sign up to a 16 week course for a morning or afternoon to go into to school, first hour you spend brushing up on either numeracy or literacy and also shown the methods which are currently being used in class, some of which were very different to how I was taught, the second hour the children come out of class and there is a structured activity for you to work on with your child which will be fun but also to help them learn, for example to help them measure and learn distances they had those little balloon cars and had to blow the balloons up let them go, racing each other, then measure how far the cars went. I was a bit worried about my son coming out of class but the teacher assured me they always arrange it during a free learning session and he really benefited from it.
At the end of the 16 weeks the parents are offered the chance to take either a level 1 or 2 numeracy or literacy exam depending on the course they have been taking, I think the main idea behind it is to ensure the parents are equipped to support their children with their homework and also help them get back into work now their children are at school.
Well done on the first part of your test ariuf!
