Just came back from Wood Green, and as far as I can tell there were no organisational problems there.

Seemed very messy at wolverhampton on skys part, no ID checks, no taking of printouts, got in sat down(didnt realise it was in 3D so ended up being six-eyes)
Screen was full to the brim and people were turned away.
One couple came in at 18:29 and were told they had to sit seperately and started complaining, Id understand if theyd pa*d but it was a free screening and it clearly said 6 FOR 6.30 on the ticket, so by arriving 1 minute before the film starts, you cant really expect to be picky!
AND there was a woman who arrived with a full KFC meal 10 minutes before the film and expected to get in, even with the cinemas strict no outside food policy displayed everywhere, and then she tried to bargain that she keep her drink, which she was refused and complained annoying everyone waiting, needless to say a few minutes before the movie starting she gave in and threw away her whole meal...

As for the film, I enjoyed it but certain things just didnt work for me, I love how the majority of it began to tie in ready for The Avengers movie but I felt like some parts were rushed. Was pleasantly surprised to find the majority of actors British, I was worried the entire thing would be Americanised and end up turning into a very ignorant American-Is-better-Than-Everyone-Else patriotic documentary.
Besides the very cheesy publicity/advertising singing and dancing which made my teeth grind, there wasnt too much american ignorance involved.
The action was ok, some things extremely far fetched, even for a super soldier, (bf argues it IS an alternate universe, the marvel universe and is acceptable but he shouldnt GLIDE over fences surely??)
I loved Tommy Lee Jones quick one liners here and there, really kept the momentm going.
Overall, it was a good flick, wouldnt p*y to see it again, though bf plans to on saturday, which would imply this ones more of a guy thing even though I love ironman!
Id probably give it 6/10
Bf gives it 7/10
Stayed for the clip at the end, loved the treat of a mini preview/trailer of the Avengers! Shame we have to wait a whole bloody year!
Traffic was awful so I didn't get to Enfield til 6.15pm and the queue was almost out the door. It seems the sky lady spent so long saying hello and greeting everyone that it took forever to get in  and the screen was pretty full when I arrived and filled up very quickly after. There was no air conditioning in the screen so it was sooooooooooooo hot.

As for the film, a fairly decent superhero story with more meat to the backstory than I was expecting. The film was a bit too all American for me but was still good entertainment. Chris Evans (as well as being gorgeous  ) was excellent in the lead, playing Steve as both brave, vulnerable, sweet and aspirational. Most of the other characters were one dimensional with no depth but Tommy Lee Jones and Stanley Tucci provided some much needed comedic relief. The special effects were good which helped gloss over the gaping plot holes. Weaving played maniacal Nazi reasonably well but the final battle in the plane between The Red Skull and Captain America felt a bit anticlimactic. I also think the final scene was rushed and there is no time for Steve to come to terms with
waking up 70 years in the future.
The 3D was excellent in some scenes but unnecessary for most of the film, and was also shoddy in parts. I left feeling like my eyes had been straining to watch the film. 6/10.

I stayed til the end credits and I was not disappointed. Can't wait til The Avengers next summer! :D

Boring boring boring...

Another exercise in a pointless 3D film - I watched most of the film without the glasses simply because it was just too dark with them on.
