I saw Moonspell on Saturday in a village in the north of Portugal, after successfully managing to convince my brother to drive us there (it was just a 30 min drive away from where my parents live).
I was surprised to see a metal band performing at 00:30 in a (free) party to celebrate the patron saint of a village. The whole thing was just surreal. There were even some small kids making the \m/ in the concert. So funny.
There were also fireworks at midnight, before the gig, which lasted for about 15 min. My brother and I had a great time.

Got tickets for Europe and Foreigner last week... would have preferred Ozzy, but it was alright in the end, although a bit tame for my liking.
By the way, there is a free festival in Croydon this weekend, highlight for me and other punks among you... The Damned!!

Went to see Madness at Epsom Downs last night and it was actually really good - definitely took me back to my youth - baggy trousers, baggy trousers........

Is anyone thinking of going to Glastonbury next year? I've never beenbut maybe 2011 will be the year. Both Radiohead and R.E.M have albums out this/next year so I'm wondering if they will play - they are my two favourite bands. It's funny to see that the line-up rumours are already rife whilst they are almost still cleaning up from this year!

I'd love to go to Glastonbury some time in the future. Went to Leeds festival for a day last year and caught the festival bug. I'm off to V festival
(Weston Park) this weekend, Kasabian and Kings of Leon are playing. I have so wanted to see KOL play live for a while now. Missed them at Hyde Park. The weekend after I'm off to Leeds Festival, for the whole weekend this time. Was looking forward to seeing Guns n Roses but have just heard a rumour that they may have pulled out and cancelled their upcoming tour too... My teenage kids think that I'm having a mid-life crisis, lol!

Guns n Roses? My brother and I b*ght all their CDs when we were teenagers. But in my view the band no longer exists. It's just Axel Rose playing with a bunch of other guys.
