I can't really give this a score as I'm not into martial arts movies that much, mainly went to see what the fuss is about as it's being described as a great action film. There were half dozen walkouts but I stuck with it til the end, mostly enjoying the excellent score and some moments of humour. The fight scenes good as they were, did get a bit yawnsome after a while, and I'll never get used to that shaky camera stuff... Oh okay, maybe 6/10?

And speaking of badly behaved audience, how nice that some idiot turns up half hour late  sits next to me, smells bad and decides to look on her phone!

Busted a 90mph gut to make this tonight from Dundee and imagine my horror to discover I had only managed to book a single ticket (and promptly forgot this) and managed to get a +1 to come with me. Luckiliy the SKY rep who nioticed this decided to let him in anyway.

I actually enjoyed this although the rate of speech (limited though it was) meant the speed of subtitles was rapid. I also have a problem with the sound effects - the same crack sound whether it was a punch, a kick, a head being battered agaist concrete, wood or plaster,; and the groaning sound that accompanied the fight scenes as well as the scenes of stabbing and throats being cut and of those writhing in agony - identical.

The scenes were graphic though.

I'll give it a good 6.5/10

Loved this film, thought it was fantastic. Can't wait to see it again.

If they are doing a remake, I'd be happy if it was Keifer Sutherland, and was just him...basically 24.

Sutherland? seriously?
The poor guy would need a stunt double for 95% of the film!
(unless it's yet again a really really bad remake!)

Loved the fact that the medics, paramedics and massage therapists (ouch!) were credited in the film along with the hundreds of guys who got their asses kicked

Didn't stay for the credits but I would have thought they must have needed quite a few of them. Some actors must have broken a few bones doing the scenes!

Watching it yesterday, The O2 was too big a screen for me, my eyes lost focus at some shots, but the print seemed much better than the last time I saw it, certainly the violence seemed more violent.

Like you said, they do cut away from the actual violence before it takes place in most scenes (notably not the beginning and the climatic ending)
