I wouldn't have realised it was Shrove Tuesday but for this thread. No demand in our household, however - OH is going straight from work to the football and I'd rather have afternoon tea and cake as usual.

They weren't all that. Mine are better. Too much spinach that overpowered the pancake taste and I had to warm it up in the microwave at work as the dish was nearly cold. Also, it came with a cold green bean salad. Cold green beans? WTF?

Just noticed we are in close proximity of each other. Let me know what they are like and I might pick some up on the way to the station. o/

Ha ha, are you talking about my homemade pancakes? They'll all be eaten within half an hour of baking them.

I am currently the shape of a ball after having eaten all my lovely pancakes with mushrooms, ham and an asparagus sauce. *BELCH*

It's got to be nutella, sliced strawberries and bananas, whipped cream, and a light dusting of icing sugar. Fruit is good for you, so this must be healthy---right!?! o/

We had our pancakes with strawberries, vanilla ice cream and drizzled with warm rose petal jam.

France do it both ways and call it crepes...and I love their crepes! But I sure like to try the German pancake too...:)
The savoury ones are actually "galettes". Crepes should be eaten with salted butter and sugar. Period.
