What? You are certainly becoming a mysterious man first we had the chopped onion red herring in the chocolate cake and now this
No mystery, Diane ;) , I'd seen that you had taken to posting a series of riddles onto this thread, so I thought that I would join in as well. :D

Well done on mowing the lawn ejwrank, it always improves the look of a garden. o/

Ha ha I'm a bit slow at times ;) At least Baty and Ejwrank were being true friends coming to my rescue unlike somebody with a huge garden who was being elusive. Still can't find my plant anywhere except in other people's gardens but I can't very well go and help myself :shifty:

I'm thinking that those people at Althorp House must have copied your idea ejwrank so you were certainly cutting edge when it comes to fashion - 20 years ahead of the Spencer's 8O I have now b*ght one for my mum and planted it with a cordaline and underplanted it with impatiens so she is quite happy and my gardening duties are done (well at my mum's but still lots of projects for home). I have b*ght her them in exchange for cat sitting when I'm on my many trips as OH can't do medication for cats

Not so much a tip but suggestion if you want to spend a good few hours walking.

Went to help (well, I supervised) my daughter moving into her new accomodation. She had seen a 3 tier planter and wanted one..... my OH had a bash at making one.

I think I want one now but have no idea where to put it though.

I'm mega impressed and will certainly be putting in an order ;) Your OH is certainly talented o/ I too will be running out of room with everything I want to go into my garden and have to be careful that I don't get too carried away with plants that need a lot of attention. Now want some sweet peas to grow up an obelisk so need to find a place for one somewhere  this is after all the other plants that I still want.

Ok, haven't given up on identifying Dianes' white flower.... is it this?

Alyssum??

OH made the planter out of 3 decking planks - to make the boxes, and pressure treated wood for the supports. My daughter wanted the boxes a mtr long and 30 cms wide (internal measurements) . There was very little left over.

Does anybody know if the busy lizzies I have just b*ght will be OK as a few people have been telling me that there is a disease in them this year which is killing other plants? I b*ght them from Aldi and they look fine to me but I wouldn't know really what I'm looking for and can't find anything on line about it for this year only from previous years.

That looks beautiful and you can always pick up a few tips from visiting gardens as Charles Spencer has copied ejwrank's planters but painted them black so that he thinks we don't know he is just a copy cat! ;)
