Wandsworth was packed - too many latecomers disturbing everyone though.

Excellent film - Freeman and Damon were outstanding and Adjoa Andoh was excellent. Rugby playing was pretty poor but even I was sitting waiting for South Africa to win (and I knew the result and remember watching the real thing!).

A 9/10 from me.

Saw this today at WIQ. I was surprised at how many people ended up attending the screening (> 100%).

I liked the film, but I didn't find it outstanding. Morgan F. was very good as Mandela. 7/10 from me, my boyfriend says 8/10.

Sorry, Beate, didn't manage to spot you this time :undecided:

I wasn't expecting you to be there as you mentioned you had seen the film on Sunday, so I didn't look around. :(
Next time I'll hopefully spot you.

Saw this last night at a very packed wandsworth town .people were still coming in 30 minutes after the film had started!! I thought the film was great and both the leads were fantastic. Almost believed matt Damon was south African.7/10 from me and bf.

Finally got tickets for Invictus. Couldn't believe that this was a Clint Eastwood directed movie. It felt like a TV Movie. Morgan Freeman apart from the odd attempt at an accent was just playing Morgan Freeman playing Nelson Mandela. Matt Damon on the other hand was just wonderful and totally believable. What a great accent.

I really enjoyed this film, thought it was well made - but must admit, I have enjoyed other recent Clint Eastwood films slightly more.

Almost felt like I wanted a more personal touch, to see things more from Matt Damon's character's side of things, his family's (reluctant?) reaction to the world changing around them perhaps, the security guys dealing through their differences, more around the team?

but still thought it was a highly enjoyable film and well worth watching.

7/10 from me
