Delighted that you have booked Steve9872.
Is Nottingham castle shut in April for a refurbishment?
I have been reading up on it - just planning my timings.
Our very own Manchester Town Hall has shut for 6 years for a refurbishment - luckily most of us the Manchester FMUKers (plus a visiting 1) went on the free tour on its last day.

I will check out the Castle closure and let you know. At least Robin Hood’s statue is outside the castle wall.Diane65 wrote:Delighted that you have booked Steve9872.

The Castle
I popped to the ticket office at the Castle and the lady said that they were still looking to close at the end of March for refurb, she also said there may be some hard hat tours on, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
The Trip
Having pa*d the Trip a visit they have reserved an area upstairs for us that will accommodate 20 comfortable for lunch. The trip will also be under going a refurbishment in March and for us it should make things easier as currently if you were sat upstairs you have to go down to the bar for drinks and order your food. I was informed that after the refurb there will be a bar open upstairs that we can use. I wasn’t able to check the area out but to be fair it may look different after the refurb anyway. I’ll pop back after their refurb to make sure it is suitable for us.

Thanks so much to The Fox for all the trouble that you are going to making sure that everything is perfect. Purely my thoughts here but I am sure that the venue will be lovely and I for one am just looking forward to meeting up with everyone and visiting Nottingham so I want to personally thank you for organising the venue.

Re: FMUKCON 2018 - Nottingham
I've messed up and managed to double book myself for the FMUKCON weekend.
I've got family visiting from America so won't be able to come to Nottingham.
Gutted not to make it, I'm sure you'll all have a brilliant time.

No worries, yogi, these things happen. Your family has come a long way, and of course, you should be spending your time with them. We look forward to catching up with you next year!yogi wrote:I've messed up and managed to double book myself for the FMUKCON weekend.
