I don't know why I spend so much time on that infernal site. I can literally feel myself getting stupider for every post I read.
There once was a time when people actually made intelligent points and engaged in genuine discussion - now it's just a safe-haven for fanboys and trolls alike.

I used to be a regular reader on the AintItCool website ran by Harry Knowles. I loved the content but the majority of people who chat on there are vile, sick, and idiotic. I had enough of them and found similar vibes on other websites, including IMDB and even bloody technical websites so I vowed never to go on forums are chat on websites ever again...until I found fmuk, where I found people are compassionate, cheery and less cynical...well some of you are cynical but nice people...I guess I am being cynical right now. Goodreads is the only other forum I find pleasant where people talk about books. Anyway sorry, this is way off topic.

(Reuters) - A masked gunman shot dead 10 people and wounded 30 to 40 others at a showing of new Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" at a movie theater in the U.S. city of Denver, local radio station KOA reported on Friday, citing witnesses.

The radio station said a figure in a gas mask had opened fire at the showing in a mall in the suburb of Aurora and set off a smoke or tear gas bomb. It said initial police estimates were of 30-40 injured.

Just seen the timeline of @jessicaredfield who was tweeting from inside the cinema before she was killed. Heartbreaking.

I saw that too, so tragic that she escaped another shooting only to be killed there.

Would rather have seen Alex Zane that an blank screen for over an hour! Took my +1 to the razamatazz that is a (regional) premiere only to have it so flat with nothing going on whatsoever for an hour before the film. I actually felt embarrassd. At least movie more than made up for it.
Didn't you miss him at Spiderman as well?

Guess it's only a matter of time now before metal detectors/scanners become mandatory in movie theaters.
