I didn't know exactly where to post this, but, while on holiday in Manchester's midland hotel, me and my mum had a very awkward encounter with Sir Derek Jacobi in an elevator! We were in breakfast when we first saw him and I googled his name on my phone to show my mum, we went into the elevator, he followed, there was an awkward silence, and my mum suddenly says "hello, its a pleasure to meet you, my son was just googling you!" He replied: "did I come up?". It was really quite funny and he seems like a really charming guy.

I had no idea of this! Now I like it even more :)! The scenery was very exotic in certain areas, without any kind of vegetation (you can still see the lava that came out during the last eruption in the middle age). Now I will have to find out which scenes were taken there! Thanks!

I'm taking a few days off work as a friend of mine is visiting me, but she already knows London - and I need a break - so I'd like to visit another city!!
I was thinking of Oxford: any advice? A nice place to visit? Somewhere to have lunch? Is it easy to find your way in the city?

Also do you know how long would it be good to stay there? Just had a look at the Megabus website, we might arrive around 10/11am and return around 8/9pm...

I would like to go to Eden Project on the end of this month. Has anyone been there?

Yes. They have a zip wire for the adventurous and a mini train for the unadventurous (i.e me). I didnt go into the exotic dome though, too hot inside.
