Lucky you lol! Moaning gits from Ayrshire.
Well Leeds was brilliant! NIN did a brilliant set full of old favourites and I watched it all from the side of the stage! My friend works on tech production for the main stage so got me authorisation as it was a closed stage. Woohoooo, still can't quite believe I was that close to Mr Reznor.

Lucky buggers, both of you! Great little venue like the Scala, and side of the stage at Leeds! o/

I haven't been to a decent gig in ages.... :(

Lucky enough to get free tickets to Leonard Cohen last night in Manchester.

Only semi familiar with his work but thought it was wonderful. Great musicianship, and he oozed class and commanded the stage throughout the near 3 hour set.

The parts when it was more like poetry with just Leonard and minimal musical backing were breathtaking.

Great company from akh43, Betty Botter and OH as well. o/

Sounds great! Hope they have free tickets for the London Show!
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

There were quite a few empty seats so its worth keeping an eye out for London tickets.

Hope they do :cross:

I'm a massive Leonard Cohen fan who had never seen him live and unfortunately couldn't afford the tickets to this (upwards of around £40 each when I checked). To say I was ECSTATIC when I bagged a pair via Showfilmfirst would be a slight understatement. My boyfriend is also the biggest fan and still gets all misty eyed when he tells me that his Dad used to play him New Skin for the Old Ceremony when he was around 5 years old.

Anyway, it was marvellous...it's insane that at a ripe old 78 years of age, Lenny is actually at the top of his game and that golden voice sounds richer and stronger than ever before. The band were also IN.CRED.I.BLE...

My own personal highlights were Tower of Song, Waiting for The Miracle, First We Take Manhattan, Chelsea Hotel #2, Famous Blue Raincoat...and I'm Your Man.

I loved the story of how he planned on taking up smoking again on his 80th Birthday...the Nurse in starched whites bringing him a packet of cigarettes across the stage on a silver platter. :D

I had a great night at the iTunes festival with paramore.
Ok. I wasn't a big fan. And after googling them only knew 1 song(which they didn't play lol)

But they were fantastic. Brilliant. Just like a new version of no doubt
So glad I went.

And first time at a gig in the roundhouse. Fab venue. Have to keep an eye out for concert there
Loved the terrace and good view from wherever u are. Even for a little shortie like me.

Can't wait for artic monkeys on Monday now

Ps. I didn't know they do a standby que for people without tickets.
Ok no guarantee u will get in. But at paramore the whole que got in. Could be worth a try if a night u really want. (And person in front of me was on their own security pulled someone out of the que to go in with them )
