I thought Lucie was going to do well, but I see she hasn't done so well in the live shows or at least people don't seem to rate her anymore

Isn't she great?! Love her too!anakin wrote:I still heart Stacey! How funny is she!!!

And why do the contestants wear the same clothes on Sun that they wore for the Sat show?? Does the insane budget not stretch for them to wear something different on Sun?? What's up with that??

I don't see what the big thing about Cheryl is.

Whitney's performance I sat glued to the tv for (I was eating dinner at the time), I didn't think she was 'on something', but I also didn't think she was back to 100%. I was saying to my bf that I thought she was about 70-75% there. She had to contend with a dress that was too long, sky skraper heels and then the back strap snapped! Still a pro though, the show went on. And I thought she did well for her first performance in UK for a decade.
Preferred cinemas: All Central London: APOLLO Piccadilly, EMPIRE Leicester Sq; ODEONS: Leicester Sq/Covent Garden/West End/Whiteleys/Panton St; VUE: West End/Fulham/Islington, CINEWORLD: Haymarket/Shaftesbury Ave; Brixton Ritzy,
Then: Westfield, o2, Clapham

Re: X-Factor
Yeah, its funny, how my friend said, she(Cheryl Cole) could "sing" alright during the song/dance rountine and then when Dermot is questioning her, she's huffing and puffing.

Re: X-Factor
To be fair I can't imagine anyone can dance that much then be able to sing flawlessly - I think she proved herself (in terms of singing) in Popstars: The Rivals. Girls Aloud are what they are - they're not claiming to be as good as Whitney, say, or Tina or Aretha. I thought it was not the best performance, but fair play to her for doing it - she knew she'd get heaps of stick and did it anyway.
But Whitney.... I thought she was terrible, given what she can do. In my view not a great song which probably didn't help. I think she's probably used to the long dress / heels and doubt that had anything to do with it; and at least she didn't have a Janet Jackson style wardrobe malfunction! I'd say she wasn't all there, for whatever reason; she was distracted, couldn't concentrate or even answer what Dermot was saying... a real disappointment for me. But I'd still consider going and see her live because when she's on, boy is she on!

Sorry I beg to differ - Go and see Pink perform live - She is constantly dancing and never mimes and she even sings whilst doing trapeze displays!
The thing to remember here is yes Cheryl did prove herself to some degree in her show but the judges expect their acts to perform live and on many occasions I have heard the likes of Louis, Simon and indeed Cheryl say they want to see them do more than just stand there and sing. Don't ask the acts to do what you won't do yourself!
