Did anyone read my long post? I don't know why people are still not getting my point.caitlinmorton wrote: Because they weren't healthy.
Yes I know Brad Infected himself and that's why the zombie didn't want to take a chunk out of him, Blimey I ain't that slow or stupid. What I am saying is that the scene where Brad and the 2 others were running about in the labotories (before Brad infected himself) they were crawling behind a open framed wall and doorway and the zombies were oblivious to them even through they have a strong smell detection and were right next to them! (close encounters happens a few time in the movie).
I'm trying to say these zombies that have a dog's strength of scent should have smelled people and reacted to their scents. Just the same a dog would or any other animal would react to strong smells of food. Rats, Mice, etc.
In short, let me summarise this: Zombie can SMELL? Yes? Zombie React to smell? No?, Make much sense?
Razor why is your entire focus on that 1 wording, yes Infected would have been more precise to type it didn't come to my mind whilst I typed kill, take it as infected then.RAZORBACK wrote: But kill/infect isn't the same thing in this genre, for example George Romero's zombies were actually dead but Danny Boyle's were just infected.
For me, WWZ's zombies were closer to DB's zombies than GR's zombies therefore the avoiding potential (living) hosts that were sick made sense. If WWZ's zombies were meant to be of the GR variety then diseased or not it wouldn't make a difference because as soon as the host became infected they'd also be undead therefore any normal human disease wouldn't have an impact on their ability to spread the infection further...
