It's a shame Mike & Molly isn't shown here as Melissa McCarthy is actually quite decent in it. The rest of the characters are the true heart and soul of the show but it's just pleasant enough not to see her playing a foul-mouthed, disgusting slob for once.

This scene always cracks me up:

Have to say I was pretty impressed with this movie, it was solid enough at the start but just got better & funnier as things progressed.

I'm not really a fan of Melissa McCarthy but her 'brand' of humour worked well in this & I thought Sandra Bullock put in a decent performance as well.

Overall this is the second best comedy that I've seen this year and is well worth an 8/10 from me o/ ...

Please god don't do a sequel
I left the cinema hoping and expecting that they would do a sequel, I will defiantly watch if or when they do! :cross:
I'd be surprised if we don't get a sequel but would be equally surprised if it turns out to be anywhere near as good as the original...

Sequel's been in the pipeline since before the film was moved to summer.

Saw this last night at my local Cineworld.
Kept thinking of Miss Congeniality 3 as Sandra Bullock appears to p*y a similar FBI agent!

However, a much better film than The Heat trailer portrayed.
Melissa McCarthy as ever was brilliant and very funny and there were definitely lots of laugh out loud moments.

Very entertaining and would recommend for a night of laughs!

We enjoyed this very much and laughed a lot. But I rushed home to check how old Sandra Bullock is (48 apparently) because I thought she looked amazing, and if it's surgical, they did a great job!

Melissa McCarthy is undoubtedly the star of the show. We really enjoyed watching this movie...it's a great laugh!
There are some filler moments (when Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock get drunk in the pub for example), but overall it was a great movie. Verdict = 7.5 / 10

Went to see this at Cheshire Oaks. Thought is was hilarious, a perfect match of comedy and action. And what a pair Sandra and Melissa make. Looking forward to the films to come with these two!

9/10
