I had the same thing happen to me... left work early, had the whole night planned... arrived at the cinema and they looked at me like I was a moron because "that movie isn't out yet" - duh! After a call to the manager, they ascertained that someone else had gone in asking about it.. but it was showing on Sunday (conveniently all tickets for Sunday are gone and, I am flying internationally on Thursday anyway.... )

Completely shattered... was sooooo looking forward to this movie.

Oh, and they sent the email to me after the start time of the movie too.

We arranged childcare...drove 20 miles to the gateshead odeon. Only to be told that they had the dates mixed up.

I was gutted to say the least.

Someone should complain with SFF, as they obviously gave the wrong dates out.

Yes, absolutely you should complain to SFF, and if you can make Sunday, ask specifically for tickets for this, even if they are showing as not available.

And if not (like traceyh09), then ask for other free tickets to make up for your costs and inconvenience.

But... in SFF's favour - although this was abominably late to send out a message about cancellation, it does look as though they had someone on call/working in the evening.

well cinema told me to come back tonight and my tickets would still be valid....but dont want to make a wasted journey again...so not feeling to confident xx

I just phoned the Odeon Leeds Bradford, and they confirm they ARE showing this tonight.

This had me worried, too, especially as the latest code includes Cineworld Crawley but for next week, and I've never known them preview the same film twice. But no, the print is ready and waiting for tonight.

Saw this tonight at Glasgow Cineworld, a lot better than I was expecting.

Sandra Bullock's pretty hot for a 45 yr old :)

She is HOW old? Wow.

Well I can report that West India Quay were showing the film in one of their tiniest screens which was almost full and that hottips, who had my OH's tickets, got ID checked and had to use an inventive excuse as to why she hadn't got any! But she and her son got in.

Alaska is beautiful! Ryan Reynolds is also quite a cutie, although the tan did nothing for me. The white puppy was heartstoppingly gorgeous, and Betty White was hilarious! It was all very predictable of course, but a nice spend of 2 hours. It was even funny in places even though we've had it all before. Don't leave too early at the end, the interview during the credits is one of the best bits!
