Has anyone read the Thursday Next series of Bookas by Jasper Fforde? My wife has been reading them and says they're brilliant.

We're off on Holiday soon so I'll be reading them while away. I'll report back on what I think of them but my wife says they're great and she has very good taste

I spent a lot of the Christmas holidays reading the Twilight books, I know there're meant for young adults but I loved them, managed to finish Eclipse and read all of Breaking Dawn (bit of a mission as its 700 pages!!), can't wait to see Eclipse now

Good thing I stocked up with a 2nd batch of library books before the latest snowfall, as it looks as though I'll be spending lots more time indoors, reading. Just finished Debra Adelaide's "A Household Guide To Dying" and starting on Philip Hensher's "A Northern Clemency". The latter is a little longer than most so maybe it will see me through until the thaw.

I read the Beedle the Bard book by JK Rowling last night. Very disappointing and finished in an hour!

Now reading One hot country summer which turns out to be the last in a series, haha. Oops!

I have just read "My fearful Symmetry" Audrey Niffenegger new book.

I thought it was a good but strange book. If your into ghosts and things its a good read.

Just picked up 2666 by Roberto Bolaño - it's about 1000 pages long and spans over several time periods - epic. About to get started...

I actually liked the Beedle stories. Its a throwback to the Grimm Fairy Tales. Not as good but still enjoyable and her sketch drawings are rather cool too. She didnt actually write those stories for publication but as a gratitude gift to 7 special people in her lives which included her publisher. She hand wrote it in a special jewel encrusted hard back book that she designed. When Harry Potter fans heard of it, they went nuts because they wanted to read anything that Rowling writes, including her Sainsbury shopping list, and demanded the stories to be published. So Rowling published the stories with all proceeds going to charity.

I um..was one of those fans that wanted to read that shopping list, I mean fairy tale stories and b*ght a limited edition replica of the book. Its the most beautifully book I've ever seen. It had cost £50 but as it was for charity, it was worth it.
