Anyone know if Tarbert is worth visiting? I got given ferry tickets to go from Uig to Tarbert, but don't know if I can manage a whole day on the isle of Lewis.

don't know if this post is too late but i was in Tarbert last year, nothing much in the town centre but its well worth a visit round Harris. you can drive the circular route in a few hours round the whole island. We saw seals, eagles, there are lots of lovely little coffe shops and galleries dotted around. the scenery is breathtaking!

Hope you get good weather as there are miles of soft golden sanded beaches

Afternoon peeps. Am thinking of booking a holiday to Italia! What we need is somewhere where we can sunbathe as well as do other stuff. We've been to Rome, Florence and Cinque Terre already. So far I'm thinking of Amalfi or even Sardinia or Sicily. Any recommendations (including hotels) please?

I stayed here last year in Sorrento and its simply stunning http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review ... pania.html The manager and all the staff are fabulous and very sincere. It is a 20 minute bus ride from Sorrento up the mountain but perfect for sunbathing and for getting around, breakfast selection is vast and lots of it make sure that you are in the main hotel as the small villa attached to it isn't quite as nice but still lovely.

Has anyone been to Berlin? I want to go for 3 days/2 nights 31st August until 2nd September, can anyone recommend any nice hotels and in which part of Berlin is best to stay? I just want bed and breakfast as we just tend to eat and then go off exploring for the whole day - its just 3 females going hence want to be safe for getting back to the hotel at night. Thanks

It was in a nice, pleasant, easily accesssible area - the hotel was fine although room on the small side - nothing posh but clean and adequate..... we pa*d about £75 per night for room only at beginning of June. We walked a lot from that location and then took the metro to the east side etc. Otherwise see these

My husband went on hols with my in-laws to Berlin and just stayed at the IBIS. He can't remember if there was breakfast, but it was clean and cheap.

I need somewhere to stay for 4 nights 13 - 17 July in New York (2 people). Looking for something clean (no bed bugs!) and reasonable - fairly central - hotel/apartment/B&B/homestay...... any good suggestions? Thanks

I stayed at Park Plaza Wallstreet Hotel few years ago, it's in Mitte (East Berlin, where I would recommend you stay), short walk from a Metro station (Märkisches Museum), and a couple of stops from Alexanderplatz, Museum Island, etc. It was the perfect location for me, and it felt very safe.

Thank you so much for all your tips I will book it today now that I'm armed with a plan . Its myself, my daughter and my friend from work hence we want a triple room and somewhere safe, I will post later to tell you which one I have booked.
