RIP Sue Townsend :( who passed away just a couple of days after her 68th birthday.

I have been a fan of her work since I read the screamingly funny 'The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4', many years ago.

It's quite a coincidence that I was lucky enough to pick up a copy of 'Adrian Mole: The Cappuccino Years' at the recent Manchester FMUKCON Swap Shop event. Thanks to whoever donated that - I will remember Sue with fondness as I read it.

Me too. I was a fan of her books and the subsequent tv series and was saddened by her deterioration due to her diabetes.

Rubin Carter aka the hurricane. A boxer falsely imprisoned for almost 20 years. The hurricane starring denzel Washington is recommended if you haven't seen it.

Loved him to bits in everything he did.
