Thank you so much for offering to translate for me which will be brilliant, my German is a bit rubbish just enough to get directions and order food etc so I maybe calling on your help. OMG I JUST REALISED I'M GOING TO LA IN 13 DAYS
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/
Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.
Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Weather is quite sunny here in the Isle of Mull. I hear it's cold and windy in London!

Re: Holiday Thread
This one is mainly for the Scottish people out there:
My little sister is going on a 2 week camping holiday through Scotland and she has to make a list of preferences of things to see/do to show the family she's travelling with.
What do you recommend her to see/do? She's 14 years old and loves botannic gardens, nature and castles. She also hopes to catch something like a music festival/highland games, etc.
She's there for 2 weeks starting July 15. Thanks!

Just realised I still haven't downloaded my holiday photos and we've been back almost a month. I thought I was being quite high-tech, by my standards, when I b*ght a digital camera and learned how to transfer my photos to my laptop, but I suppose that's actually the photographic equivalent of snail-mail now, and that most people take photos on a smartphone.

Re: Holiday Thread
Sorry havingascreen I've never been but I hope that you have a fabulous time.
Has anyone been to Copenhagen? Thinking of booking for the end of October and trying to work out how many days I would need there, I want to go in Amalienborg museum, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek (free on a Sunday) takes about 2 hours and Rosenborg castle and then generally just walk around admiring the architecture. Would it be feasible to do it in 2 days ie arrive 6pm Friday evening and then have to leave the city for the airport at 6pm on the Sunday? In my head I am thinking the have a walk around the city on Friday evening the museum on the Saturday morning and the castle in the afternoon and then on the Sunday stroll around the lovely parks etc and spend a couple of hours in Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. Would love to hear of any tips etc. I do have similar stamina levels to prettyxcool so can keep going all day. Thanks so much

Re: Holiday Thread
I'm looking for a low budget hotel in Amsterdam, any idea?
I checked Easyhotel, hostelworld (don't want to spend a night in a 10 bed dormitory, I'm not 16 anymore), a few B&B and hotel... I just found one, NH Tropen Amsterdam, that would cost us £25 / person.
Though, I'm looking for max 25 EUROS per person, that would be great...

Re: Holiday Thread
There's nothing wrong with hostels, I still use them! And if you don't want 10 bed dormitories they often offer private rooms (1, 2 or 4 people) so depending on how many people you travel with you can look for those. If all fails, a bench in Vondelpark.
