Well done to both the Birthday Boy and the Organiser! Both deserve the highest of praise.

Yes have to agree a-person you are a star and a shining one at that ..

So glad you had a great day AYBG and that you have learnt a valuable lesson...while people may not enjoy their birthdays others around them really do..after all the best part of presents is the giving :p

I want to add to Allsinging great comment. Our Birthdays are not just about us. Its a time for others to have the opportunity to express their gratitude of your friendship and whatever you may have given to them, you effectively deny them that opportunity that they so desperately want to give.

And the one person I think is far more important, on anyone's birthday, is your mother. Our mothers are the ones who brought us into the world, on our birthday and often painfully so! So if they want to celebrate your birthday and give you presents, let them, hug her, kiss her and thank her for being a great mum, you dont realise how much your birthday means to them.

My mother always looks forward to my birthday just so she can give me presents (and yes, quite often they really are'nt terribly useful) but she is so happy on that day giving me a present, and for me that is all that matters.

Do you have a VR headset? If so, maybe we can play a physical sports game or even be sports/fitness partners, hit me up if you keen.

Mr Glass, you have beaten me to it but I was thinking exactly the same thing! Or a_person would do very well as an e-concierge/personal shopper for those cash-rich, time-poor people you read about. As long as she doesn't abandon us....
