LOL maybe it's cos I didn't find any iconic music, story, lines or acting in Titanic except in iconic cheesiness
So I guess it all depends on what regard you hold Titanic in.
Actually in that respect at least I shed a tear in Water For Elephants but in Titanic I had a fit of giggles in the cinema at all the sniffing sounds around me when she wouldn't let him on the bit of wood.

Well in an airport hotel as I have a flight in the morning. Average at best but it did go a lot faster than I expected. Braehead was about 75% so guessing that people saw this last night. Majority of females in the screen.

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

Free preview screenings are known within the industry as Talker Screenings. Basically the idea is that audiences will come and watch a film and then 'talk' about the film to friends afterwards. They differ from test screenings in that they are the finished product and won't be changed, their main purpose is to help spread the word. The questionnaire's we usually have to fill out are to help them get an idea of how to market the film, especially when it comes out on DVD.
On a separate note I got my free voucher at Kingston yesterday after I'd b*ght my coffee. Which didn't really matter anyway as the only date I could use the voucher on was today.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Was expecting a pretty bad film as the advert for it depicts. Couldnt figure out the old guy was Bishop Brennen from Father Ted till after Id left lol.A couple of down bits, the super-imposed animals during the scenen where they'd all been let out of their cages was pretty poor and wasnt keen on the beginning and end going back to the old guy telling the story, to much like The Green Mile for me. Apart from them bad points, really liked it 8.5/10

Westerhailes was pretty full tonight and of course the usual latecomers distracting everyone by standing and discussing where they were going to sit!
A bit slow to start but enjoyed the film. The star was the elephant - a brilliant actor!!!!

It's a good job this film wasn't in 3d as we'd have lost the two main characters!
Would've been better if they'd shown more of the elephant, as she was the only one who could act in this!

This film took me right into a magical land with an edge of danger and would agree thats its a great portrayal of that era. We were on the edge of our seats, lots of drama and high tense moments. I couldn't watch the animal cruelty, my daughter was sobbing her heart out
i would agree about the lack of chemistry between the lead pair. I thought Pattison was his usual intense self, which he plays very well but Weatherspoon was just too dolly to give the part the emotional intensity it needed. She fitted the performer part of the character, the fragile beauty but as the unfaithful wife......she just doesn't have the depth.
August played his part very well......utter nutter!! Rosie definately stole the show.
Its the most entertaining film i've seen this year so far - 8.5/10

Ditto to KK too.
I had to look away too, a_person. Poor Rosie.

Interesting to read some very diverging opinions. I really liked this. It surprised me, which is a nice surprise because I feel like I've spent a lot of time ranting lately! Pattinson didn't bother me, felt really captivated by the story and Christopher Waltz was fantastic. Wrote a bit more to explain myself here:

Nice movie ,they have shown exactly how animals suffer in circus, but at the same time they also show that there is a limit to human suffering and then it blows over like a volcano ,although the plot is not too intriguing ,it is definetly worth a watch
