Re: Flashforward
Like several other people, I am growing weary of the programme, as we don't seem to be going anywhere. The main characters are not very likeable, and are not keeping my interest. I'm worried that it is going to be similar to Lost, which, let's face it, lost the plot some time ago.
There are going to be no answers either - I watched the first two episodes on i-player, and it stated Season 1. It's going to have to do a lot better for me to stay with it.

Haha, you remind me of me. I drive my husband crazy because I think too much about the plot and highlight the flaws and can't help pointing them out which irritates him because then he thinks about them too..............TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:There is one thing bothering me about the plot. All of the people's flashforwards that we have seen so far shows them unaware of the fact that they are in the flash forward. Did I make sense there??? So everyone is waiting for the 6 months to pass awaiting the day of the flash forward. You'd expect everyone to be "Whoaa, this is it, awesome, its happening just as I foresaw" or "Oh f***, this is when I'm gonna die, man, this sucks" etc.
But that's fine, it means the flashforwards are there as a warning, it would have happened. But it has already changed because people are aware of it and now have a choice of preventing it or letting it happen. That's all fine and I like that. But that rule is contradicted with the release of the German prisoner. He was released as a result of the flashforwards. His own flashforward saw that. Grrr. I hope they neatly explain everything and not lose the plot like Heroes did!
I get told if I am going to watch anything with him I have to sit down, be quiet and take it for what it is, entertainment.
But I can't help myself...........
I've been banned from watching 24 with him............
Re: Flashforward
Oh, and I'm feeling the same as most people about FF, I really want to like it, but just not feeling it yet. But I'm gonna stick with it for a few more weeks and hope I get hooked.

Re: Flashforward
I have had to start watching it on a Tuesday night on Fiver, so i'm always a day behind, Mondays at 9pm are now taken by Dollhouse on ITV4.
I'm not sure what to make of it, i am really enjoying it so far but it is very fustrating to watch at times, i mean ep 5 had a massive cliffhanger ending and then it wasn't even mentioned again in ep 6!!

Have missed episode 6 and can't seem to be able to register on the five online website - grrr. Will have to play catch up I think. I found episode 5 very dramatic, and enjoyed the shoot-out scene, accompanied by the music they had been singing to in the karaoke club.

Re: Flashforward
I don't know which one episode 6 is but it's usually repeated Friday and Sunday evenings.

Re: Flashforward
I finally caught up with this last night, really not sure about it, its interesting enough for me to watch because I'm curious as whats going to happen, but not that good that I'm desperate to watch the next episode, so far I think there've asked too many questions and not given enough answers!!

Re: Flashforward
Oh man, the last episode finally cranked into high gear. About time too. It was so good it seemed out of place in this so far disappointing series. There was genuine humour which was previously sorely lacking. And for the first time it drew an emotional response from me. Several story threads were progressed nicely with some intriguing little revelations but there was one central one that was so powerful and very pivotal to the logic of the flash forward conundrum. I dont know if they can maintain this quality having failed to have done so with previous episodes but at least here is an episode that can give us some hope that they have learnt to properly execute a gripping narrative of what was always an fascinating concept.
