Opening a jar with hot water: Dip the lid of the jar in very hot water and unseal it with a cloth. The heat will dilate the metal lid, so unseal the jar when it's very hot but mind you don't get burnt!

Cleaning a scratched CD: To clean a scratched CD, use some cotton wool and some cleansing cream or lotion. Put the lotion on the cotton and clean the entire surface until there's no lotion left.

Clean mirrors with air-freshener: Use air-freshener to clean mirrors. It does a good job and better still, leaves a lovely smell to the shine.

Dark circles under the eyes: Take a raw potato, wash it well and peel it off. Cut two slices of raw potato and place them under your eyes. Relax for a few minutes.

A quick glow to your skin: Bend over at the waist, as far as you can possibly go, and hold to the count of thirty.

Heyyyyy :D you don't have to be american to not know that Caitlin :) I probably wouldn't have known what it is myself if I hadn't actually b*ght cds in the past that came in a spindle, it's basically the plastic case that blank cds are packed in when you b*y them, hope that makes sense! :)
