What Did You Watch Last Night?

Yesterday I watched The Last Airbender...... was ok, but nowt special. Are they making anymore? As this one was titled Book 1 Water.

when you settle down to it you expect its going to be as vibrant as the Sting, but its a very different film.


Watched Kidulthood again, Noel Clarke is a genius, move over Danny Boyle.

Really? I thought it was dire, though not as bad as Adulthood. The dialogue, such as is comprehensible is nothing but blud, innit, all my days, blud, innit. Thought the story also slow, plodding and methodical. Think Noel Clarke was better suited to being Dr. Who's wee mate.

dire? I thought it was quite a funny script, though i agree its easy to hate on the repetitive south london culture (its terrible in Attack the Block). but lol omg he was the one from doctor who!!

On reflection "dire" was a bit strong. It did watch it all after all, and also watched Adulthood the following week. Lol. If it was that bad I could have turned off!

Serenity. Not as good as the TV series Firefly, but still amazing. So sad that it's over though

Welcome edopoli, hope you like your time here, its very friendly. And yes The Killing is worth watching, but, its slow and steady, not a flash in the pan sort of show. I'm really enjoying it and even get off the internet when its on

Watched epsiode 4 and 5 of Mildred Pierce. Whilst I enjoyed it at the beginning, I got rapidly bored with Kate Winslet towards the end. I didnt think much of the story after a while and kinda knew the way it was heading. Thougt it a bit pants that she got married, divorced, married, divorced and then re-married her first husband again.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. Was great to be reminded of how much I love this film for its music, surreal story and dialogue and zany special effects.

I thought I was the only one! First 2 eps, in the O2 were great then the last 3 at home, got more and more tedious. Kate Winslett as I said before deserves a slap ( not that I condone violence) What a victim, and that face, like a bulldog chewing a wasp as they used to say back in the day.

I watched the final episode last night and I agree that Mildred Pierce lost its magic towards the end. It was still brilliantly acted but it was hard to sympathise with Mildred when she repeatedly enabled Veda's selfish behaviour and let people take advantage of her. I must admit that most TV dramas aren't this good so I wont be too critical.

That's true, I think it was just Winslett that was annoying me so much. Well, I'm recording the repeats of Boardwalk Empire which was great stuff. vx
