It was still brilliantly acted but it was hard to sympathise with Mildred when she repeatedly enabled Veda's selfish behaviour and let people take advantage of her. I must admit that most TV dramas aren't this good so I wont be too critical.
I just got really annoyed with that Veda character..... I wanted to knock her from here to kingdom come. Had to breath deeply and realise it was just a program! Agree brilliant acting tho!

Out of interest, did ERW actually do the singing or was she just miming?

Well what a great night Captain America and then Torchwood :D :D

Enjoying the new series very much, but does not really need all the after 9pm stuff if you know what I mean, and as for Captain Jack :nono: :nono: , dont think we needed to go there.

So glad they have not fixed Eve Myles teeth and enjoying all the English Banter.

Looks like they have changed the format. Before there was a new episode every week other week, this looks as if it cold last the whole 10 episodes.

Hurry up next thursday!!

I never thougth I'd say thing but I wish Barrowman would just go. Totally fed up with him, he looks awful and isn't the same character as a few years ago. Gwen however rocks

Oh no Valda John Barrowman has to stay. Is the reason he looks jaded not because he is human like the rest of us. When he was unable to die he looked tip top all the time.

Now for the stupid question what is a 'meh' episode. This is not an expression I have heard before.

meh is like , whatever, so so, not good not bad just blah, etc. Its how I feel as well about the whole show. After last season the awesome Children of the Earth this is just pedestrian plodding boring stuff.

watched Harry Potter 3 again, and as a movie I can see why its rated as the best one. It is wellput together as a movie, it always looks sumptuous and the acting on aggregate is decent, plus there are important fresh plot developments here. It actually works well until the 'Time Turner' element is introduced, which ruins a good build up. Its def a better film than I thought before and I dont think the film maker can be blamed for that horrible plot device (in fact, I hear that its a tidyup job of the messy 'time turner' plot of the book). And I saw some stuff/plot elements that I must have slept through at the allnighter marathon, so now I am going to have to watch 4 again to resolve them.

Watched Megamind - I thought, even though it was predictable, it was a good twist on the superhero genre.
Also watched Sucker Punch, and wished I never had. Visually amazing, but there was nothing else to the film. I think they started & finished it too quick, and didn't give enough time to relate to the characters or build on their stories, etc. Maybe if they made it a trilogy or something (a film for each task), it could have been better.
