Jeremy Renner is always a pleasure to see on the screen and while I haven't seen Gemma Arterton in much (except for Song for Marion recently) I thought she was good in the role too. Gotta say though that the character of Edward kind of steals the show, and I thought Ben was rather adorable too

The 3D was proper good I found with items really coming out of the screen at the audience. A lot of special effects were actually pretty good (though again, very over the top – there was definitely too much gore for my taste, but then that was to be expected from a film about witch hunters). Also, I really liked the music.
One criticism: The film is VERY dark. I don't think it's because of the 3D as I watched it briefly without glasses and it seemed equally dark, but I guess it's just to fit the genre. It's a shame because the make-up of the witches is really rather awesome but a lot of it gets lost because it's all very dark.
Still, 7.5/10
We were shown a teaser for G.I. Joe: Retaliation before which although not normally my thing again had great use of 3D. And to tie in with the theme they gave us G.I. Joe tshirts and pins too, which is always a bonus (that, and the free bar!).
