Paramount Pictures Offices
Hi,
I've searched the forums and can't seem to find anything mentioned previously about people attending screenings at Paramount Pictures Offices in Chiswick High Road so I was wondering if anyone had been to a screening there and what the place was like?
I've provisionally won a place to see a 'special screening' of Pain & Gain on Thursday and I am trying to decide whether to go as it seems like it could be quite a trek to get to.
Many thanks

Re: Paramount Pictures Offices
It's a really nice set of offices, if I lived nearby, I'd love to work there.
It's a nice little screening room, I suspect it was put in for the staff, and occasionally they screen films there for comp winners? Worth going if you want to see the film, but the venue isn't an experience or anything, it's a private cinema in someone else's workplace after hours.

Re: Paramount Pictures Offices
Hang on, just noticed your location - MK? Won't it be cheaper to see the film in the cinema?
You won't get any drinks, nibbles, goodie bags etc - they don't do "those" screenings. You'll get let into the building, watch a film and leave. If you're travelling from MK, you want to go a multimedia screening/gala/premiere in Zone 1. Got to work out the hassle:benefit ratio!

Re: Paramount Pictures Offices
Thanks for the info asamaic. And well spotted, MK is indeed my 'local' for the usual freebie preview screenings but I'll quite often venture into central London to catch a special screening if it's something I'm particularly keen to see prior to general release (especially as I'm lucky enough to have train travel cost covered) or it's something I win.
I'm an obsessive film comper and have been lucky enough to win tickets to loads of different kinds of screenings over the years and I think the Paramount Pictures offices in Chiswick is just about the only venue I've not yet been to. I agree with you that the multimedia and gala screenings are the best ones, I'm fond of a glass or three of complimentary wine
The competition for these Pain&Gain screening tickets unusually didn't specify the location and I only found out after I was informed that I'd provisionally won.
Thanks again for the info.

Re: Paramount Pictures Offices
No worries, hope it helps one way or another.
It's a very nice screening room, but it's awkwardly located for most people who aren't Paramount employees, and there aren't any bells or whistles, so there will be more no-shows than usual. You may get your own near-private screening if you venture over.

When I went there were drinks and nibbles, actually. No alcohol I don't think but sodas and cookies and stuff. I agree, its nice, but slightly inconvenient, but if you want to see pain and gain and have your train covered, what's the harm?

Really? I've never seen comps advertised for there with anything other than the film screening up for grabs.caitlinmorton wrote:When I went there were drinks and nibbles, actually. Last time I went there, I was told clearly there would be no food or drink whatsoever, but I could take my own if I tidied up after myself. Welcoming.

It was a bit weird roaming someone else's offices with no one around - I frequently work late at my own place, but that's different!
