Prisoners

Couldn't find a post for this so please move if my search skills have failed! Seen this last night at Glasgow Odeon Quay. Worst film of 2013 by far. Over long, I had no affinity to any of the characters and the whole audience had the same views coming out of the screening. I thought it might be similar to Gone Baby Gone or Mystic River but nope. Figured out what was happening half way through so the last hour dragged on and on and on.

Ouch. It has 7.9 on imdb but it's also 153 minutes long! That's over an hour more than Filth has!

I really enjoyed it and was engrossed throughout, despite how long it was! Might even watch it again to see if there were any clues!

This dragged in the beginning and was a bit slow at piecing things together, both me and my mate had caught on to things fairly early on and were urging detective loki to get a move on, this could have easily been half an hour or maybe even an hour shorter!
The ending was a bit abrupt and too fast when compared to the rest of the film imo!
Things could have been done a lot quicker instead of being drawn out the way they were :/
4/10 purely because it was too long, and too drawn out, but that doesn't mean that it wasnt interesting, purely for the length I wouldnt be watching it again.

Saw this last night in Kingston. It could have been a great film concerning the abduction of two small girls. However the end result was an overly long mish-mash of a film with far too slow a pace, too many red herrings, too much prolonged violence and no real explanation at the end as to why the perpetrator committed the crimes. So having stuck with it for over two and a half hours, I left the cinema feeling cheated. I felt that approx an hour could have been cut out which would have made it a much better film. I would give it 5/10 and "could do better"

It was a good film, I haven't seen any like it. I quite enjoyed though I think it was a tad too long...if it had been shortened by half an hour or so I would score it 8/10, but since it hasn't I'll score it 7/10

Well made, well acted (although the characters didn't really have personalities) but relies on several stupid decisions and coincidences for the story to work.

Saw it last night and thought it was outstanding (although a VERY uncomfortable film to watch in places). One of the best thrillers since "Silence of the Lambs" in my opinion.

Better than some I have seen recently. While there were clues and the the ending was a bit naf.... having had a child go missing for half an hour (many years ago) I can appreciate the panic, gut churning and unreasonable thinking that happens.
The little minxes went to a playground about half a mile away - caught between extreem violence and cuddling to death when found.

Our discussion was about how far would we go if we felt that someone had knowledge about the abuction. mmmmm
To say I liked the film sounds wierd so just 9/10 from us
