Brilliant film.

Heartwarming, heartbreaking, touching & funny.

Glad I made the effort to see this (my first film I travelled out of my region to see).

Was late by a couple of minutes, but, no matter! Really enjoyed the movie, great cast & story.
Not really much to say due to the story being in the newspapers etc.
However, would hesitate to watch again as some of the charm would be ruined and ultimately change my opinion.

I also thought it was a really good film. I am glad I went.
My advice for the ones with doubts ( for whatever reasons) just go!

Another thing I would say it's really an adult film. I saw some children in the audience but I didn't bring any children with me, and I was glad I didn't ( honest reason being we are going all together to watch saving mr banks tonight, which I hope will work more as family movie).

What could have been an awful TV movie turned out to be a wonderful surprise. Probably will be ignored by Oscar, but BAFTA will I think be more sensible...
As above, just go even if you don't think it's for you.

A wonderful moving film sensitively portrayed. I totally agree re not being one for children as quite moving almost disturbing to think that this is true life in very recent years. OH was brought up in a convent in Ireland in his early years and this was still going on then which I find shocking. 8/10

Loved it. Was a bit suspicious that it'd be a weeper-of-the-week slushfest, but it's actually a coldly furious and very smart. Dench is great, and Coogan's about as good as I've ever seen him. What a nice surprise!
