Groundwork is working with the community to share in the collective vision of how the Abbots Staith, a 14th C building abbot’s warehouse, can be restored and regenerated into a Heritage Centre, Selby Museum, an achieve, cinema and commercial enterprise in the heart of Selby. As a key town asset in need of investment the restoration it will act as a stimulus for economic growth and provide a central education resource for local history and improve economic activity by promoting tourism. It will also provide a place to house historical documents and artefacts associated with the town whilst providing opportunities to socialise and hold community events.
Thank you so much I have my fingers and toes crossed, Eva x
