I'm expecting good things from this film as I was very impressed with Adam Wingard's 'You're Next', :cross: that it lives up to my expectations in a few hours time...

Words can't describe how bad this was. It's not even good enough to be lying at the bottom of a bargain DVD bin.

Better going to see Let's Be Cops or The hundred Foot Journey rather than this rubbish.

Forgot to say a big thank you to the person behind me that kicked the back of my seat for 90mins. Least it kept me awake.

I was minded to give this a higher mark as it plodded along nicely despite the gore. But the ending - what the f**k indeed?

liked it, pity they had to spell it all out at the end, preferred it when there was a bit more mystery, would have been good if
Spoiler
Show
the brother came back rather than the military police guy, would have tied it all together a bit more neatly

Very 80's in style. Don't know if that was supposed to be like that or it was b just amateur. Disappointed as I could've gone to hundred foot journey and now I've missed that

Back from Glasgow. Personally I liked it. Not a lot but it wasn't as bad. It definitely had the 80's feel and the soundtrack worked great with the film. It was so silly it was actually good. As for the "funny" lines we laughed but it was probably due to how it suited our sense of humour. 6/10

Hence why I like sitting in the back.

I, too, actually liked this.
The Guest didn't outstay its welcome.
I enjoyed the gratuitous gore and violence and ignored the many plot-holes, accepting it for what it is. A modern version of the 80s style slasher movie. At least it looked realistic.

Could be an opening left for The Guest 2? Haha.

I don't think the Hallowe'en theme was necessary nor added to anything. Indeed how long was Hallowe'en maent to last? Several weeks by the look of it. I wonder if this is just a rouse to cash in on the time of year that it will be released?
Initially not certain if this was meant to be a horror/supernatural film, I was rather annoyed by the menacing demonic sound effects that occured every so often, but without any basis.

Gonna go for a 6/10
