Re: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

I went to see this without watching the trailer or reading the synopsis (I'm doing this more and more recently) and I really didn't think it would be my cup of tea.... I was very wrong, some in out little group said that it has dragged and was nothing special, but I found that I personally really ...

Re: Step Up 3D

We thought this movie wasn't too bad. It was obvious I thought the story it was going to follow even before it started and without seeing any trailers or synopsis, so we went simply for the enjoyment of the film and the dancing....which was good! For this reason I think the film was 7/10....obvious ...

Re: Death at a funeral

I watched this last night at Birmingham Broad Street.

We thought it was quite funny - quite enjoyed it. Went there with quite low hopes and were pleasantly surprised.
Found bits of it really funny, didn't seem overly long either which means it must of been ok - I wasn't bored!!

7/10 from me :)

Re: Dear John

Saw this the other week but have only just had chance to visit and say that we thought it was good...

I was affected by it, I didn't cry, but for some reason I felt quite moved by it....and the girlfriend loved it.

7/10 from us.

Re: Hot tub time machine

This is the first film I have managed to attend recently, all my others have been cancelled due to short notice things popping up, conveniently on the same days as the screening! Saw this last night at Birmingham Odeon and I have to say it was better than I had expected. I agree with the comments ...

Re: Kick-Ass

We went tonight and really enjoyed it and thought it was very funny in places. I'm afraid I fall into the category that laugh at the distasteful and over the top violence - I went knowing what is what and took a light hearted approach to it. It's not real, its a movie, I look at it from an ...

Re: Happy Ever Afters

You had a pre-show talk? Only a short one by an Odeon employee (the manager?)....we often seem to get one in Birmingham Odeon....well whenever I have been (The Hangover and this film...) its just like a heads up "Watch out for the amazing sountrack by...." or "Watch out for the great performance by ...
