Re: The Help
errrr, this was no supposed to be a comedy  Actually, that's one of my big beefs with these earnest middle brow dramas. They always have this terrible broad comedy in them. There were tonnes of attempts at jokes, it doesn't matter if it wasn't a comedy, when there are loads of unfunny ...

Re: The Help
Surely noone can justify the 'comedy' of the fat one going insane and grabbing a stick to attack Jessica Chastain's husband, just because he drove up his own drive way? While I respect your right to a different opinion I am also going to ignore it. You might as well have actually ignored it. It was harder for me to ignore other opinions on this film because I've just had to sit in silence for 2 hours 20 minutes while an audience of people chuckled away at drivel.

Re: The Help
This film is balls. Let's start with the humour, because this is one of the most unfunny films I've ever seen. It got about 5 laughs out of our audience by just repeating the word shit. There are no characters in this film, just the evil one, the earnest one, the chubby eccentric one, the senile ...

Re: Crazy, Stupid, Love
Sorry, it's crude maybe by 1950s standards, but is quite mild in our modern world. CSL goes for some visual gags, but aside from the contrived graduation scene, is very well written and performed. Obviously, you disagree with that but to chalk it up to being crude strikes me as silly. The ...
