Wedding venues! Everywhere seems to be one these days, went to Historic Dockyard Portsmouth and there was a sign on the HMS Warrior that there would be a wedding there later so limited access. Went to Arundel Wildfowl & Wetland Trust and they had a wedding in a little outhouse thing there!
Also, there must have been some classic car shows or ralleys or whatever about as I have never seen so many MG's etc. on the road in one week than down in Sussex this week!

There must have been something going on everywhere... randomly saw about a dozen horses (with their riders dressed as though they might be doing a military parade) as I drove through Regents Park yesterday (just after seeing a Giraffe!!! presumably part of London Zoo...) and then I saw a bunch of Hell's Angels types... honestly a very odd drive...Beate wrote:Wedding venues! PS Worst wedding venue I actually went to see (misleading website!!!) was a National Trust place where you had to walk through MUD to get to the main building and given that the wedding room was tiny you'd have had to have a marquee well away from the building (yet another walk) where there was a VEGETABLE PATCH!!!! And it wasn't even CHEAP!!!!
Who wants to walk miles, let alone through mud, on their wedding day?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

My sister's one was a really nice glass building with a surrounding pond and park. Even at my wedding (the venue was amazing even if I do say so myself) I had to ditch my shoes while we were having photos as I was sinking into the lawn... more comfy that way anyway

I revisited the lighthouse at Dungeness last week and you can get married there, too, now. I wonder who would want to, though, as it's very expensive; you have to climb up dozens of steps; the space is naturally very cramped and the views include loads of pylons and a power plant!
