Re: Julie and Julia
Went to see this film last week, had ni idea what it was about beforehand, even after looking at the film's website!! Ir was actually very cleverly done, funny, insightful and I actually learned some cooking tips.

Re: Julie and Julia
I have just come across this interview with Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and director Nora Efron.
It shows some clips from the film, and shots of the film being made.

Re: Julie and Julia
I liked this film. It was comic and enjoyable. Luckily, I ate before I went, otherwise I don't think I would have been able to concentrate on the film, as there are so many yum, yum moments! I have never heard of Julia Child either, but makes me want to try her recipes now - especially the beef one. Nor Julia Powell - who is still blogging - what a great marketing tool to get known....

Re: Julie and Julia
Well, finally saw all of it, yes PAST the CREDITS!!!
And I really enjoyed the most of it, it starts slow, and ends with a long lingering series of scenes that don't really feel right, but the most part I sat with a smile, sometimes giggling quite hard. Whilst I enjoy Amy Adams, I felt her storyline was a little slow and boring in the middle, conventional crisis', routine situations, nothing too interesting, but Streep's stuff was brilliant, and surely yet another Oscar nod to be thrown her way for what truly is a flawless performance from an actress who has been on the top of her game since before I was born.
8/10

Re: Julie and Julia
i thought it was an enjoyable film, although it was abit too long, and i do not think it was one of Meryl Streeps best films, and would not say her performance was Oscar winning. there were funny scenes but harldy hilarious, not to the extent that someone actuely clapped out loud during a scene in the cinema i saw it in!!!

Re: Julie and Julia
I enjoyed watching this film but not as good as i thought it was going to be, the funny parts where few and far between and i felt it was a slow to start with and this made the film go on for longer than needed but with an interest in food myself(im a chef) i really enjoyed it.
