Actor Patrick Swayze, who attained heartthrob status in the movies Dirty Dancing and Ghost, died Monday after a long battle with pancreatic cancer; he was 57. :crying:

agree with you all, lovely chap and such a shame. 57 is no age, my wishes go to his family.

but have to remember him for his great work...one of my top 20 best films...Dirty Dancing :p Still love it and i must have seen it dozens of times

Sad to hear his brave battle has ended.

Everyone talks about Dirty and Ghost but for me it has to be the pure adrenaline rush of Point Break.

Totally agree with you.... good old hunkiness in that one.... I know he goes off to die at the end of the flick but there was rumours a while back about Point Break 2...... anyone got any info if its still a go-er?

Oh my goodness, im ashamed of myself, call myself a hockey fan.. I forgot about the pure brilliance of Patrick as Derek Sutton in Youngblood...(alongside Keanu Reeves, Rob Lowe) My fav film of all time!
