I'm devastated: the BBC report makes no mention of Donnie Darko
In all seriousness I'm surprised he made it so long.

RIP

Never saw Dirty Dancing, but from what people say it was amazing. But i have seen Ghost, which was good.

They gave him 2 years to live 2 years back, and he thought he would beat it, but he died 2 years on.

The girl next to me at work started crying when she heard the news, as Dirty Dancing was he fav film...

A great loss to the acting world. Anyone whose seen dirty dancing must have wished to be 'Baby' in the final sequence at some point! love to his family and friends at this time

I feel so sad about Patrick Swayze, truly a fantastic actor, and seen on interviews as an amazing person.
An heart throb of a generation, and will be known many years to come.

I know most people will say their favourite Patrick Swayze film was either Dirty Dancing or Ghost (the latter of which I personally hated) but mine was a rather forgotten little film called rather strangely "To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything Julie Newmar" in which he played a drag queen - a very different role but he did it brilliantly. And he didn't look too bad either in woman's clothes! TV-wise he will always be Orry Main to me.

Goodbye Mr Swayze, we will miss you.
