Re: The Apprentice 2011
I would have preferred if they had stuck to the format of the previous series but i suppose this way he saves money.

Re: The Apprentice 2011
I think it is his intention to make money with the new format rather than save money.evilzadi wrote:I would have preferred if they had stuck to the format of the previous series but i suppose this way he saves money.

He invests £250k into a business plan (or in Tom's case, an existing business) which gives him 50% ownership and he would hope to recover that investment and more over time.

Re: The Apprentice 2011
oh well looks like its all over til next year, gosh i gree with so many thing said in this forum too there must be something wrong with me, either that or you lot ar a super as me :-D .... Totaly rude sniggering at Susan the girls a nice young woman with a lot to offer any1 whom she may work with in the future so much energy and passion and a few years left in her to learn more about business and self control and the chick realy needs to have a pokerface and not show too much to others as they see it as weekness.. Jim well what can i say i loved when the guy interviewing him said i see your a realy good salesperson and Jim thanked him had me in stitches much like many of his statements over the last few weeks realy enjoyed him making Leon (i think) change his mind about bringing him bck in but (NOT FOR PROFIT) what are you on young man LOL
TOM TOM TOM,, Realy glad to see he got it in the end a worthy winner sales people are ten a penny in business but the creative gems are the ones you dont come by very often i think Alan Sugar is very aware that having some1 who can create a product and take it all the way is going to be a very prosperous venture
Aaaaah!! Roll on next year i do wish they would let us see the business plan at the start of the series though would definately help in making up my mind on who to get behind as this year i have been jumping all over the place lol
Lastly (then i promise to stfu) Thanks to every1 on here i have had a real good laff reading everyones opinions on who's right and who's wrong and who deserves it the most, i sooo look forward to assasinating characters again this time next year hehehe!!

Re: The Apprentice 2011
knew he would pick Tom as he saw an easy way of making money, milking the nail file. He now might do something with Susie too. yes, she has potential and he will milk that too.
What is it they say money goes to money!!
Perhaps Helen should leave Greggs and just work with Tom on is own, that way they would have made money. she certainly could have organised Tom.
If not, she should go with mypy herself and make a success of that

Re: The Apprentice 2011
Frankly, I think Lord Sugar is a hypocrite. He wants to find a business partner and instead of doing it Dragon's Den style he makes them do silly tasks for 12 weeks until he finally asks for the all-important business plans, which our four hastily draw up in 48 hours, then proceeds to completely ignore them and pick the guy who has had a product out in the market already. It was quite clear from You're Hired that he has no intention at all to develop the ergonomic office chair even though I think it's a better product than the stupid curved nail file. I thought him rubbishing Tom's idea was really short-sighted. Workers being frequently ill is a major problem for companies and if you can help them avoid backache with a chair, it's a win win situation. Then he lamented that he always had wanted to go into skin care - really? What's keeping you? Do you really need Susan Ma for this? You are a rich entrepreneur, for God's sake, just make it happen. But then we heard in You're Hired that he wants to do business with Susan after all, so why doesn't he just hire Helen as well and have a love-in with all of them? And what's this shit about picking something you have already done - where in the decription did it say that and how is someone who hasn't had a company yet going to do that? I would have though that if you believe in a person you believe they could do any business?

I initially liked Jim, but his integrity began to weaken towards the end of the series. This is why I say... GO TOM!!!

Re: The Apprentice 2011
haha that jedi jim thing really made me laugh when i saw it. sadly some stupid bint on the radio ruined the final for me when she told everyone who won and i hadn't quite made it home to catch up yet. grrrr
was prety pleased that it was tom. shows for once that good manners and being nice doesn't have to mean you come last! felt really sorry for Helen though, i hope she goes forth and sets up something on her own. i'm sure she will have lots of investment offers and job offers.
