Many animated features Polar Express and only at the Imax. 3D works great in that environment. Also A Christmas Carol. However, I have seen these films in 2D also. And I prefer 2D because I get a more epic scale in its visual scope.

So the question is even where 3D works very well, is it a better experience than its 2D counterpart? In this case, it really is a matter of preference.

3D tends to make me more sleepy. It doesn't enhance the experience over 2D.

I was reading this thread and I don't think i've ever pa*d to see a 3D movie and in fact i think i've only actually seen Despicable me, Narnia 3 and a few kids movies in 3D. 3D was still pretty useless in it though.

It's a shame how people are being "conned" into p*ying more for something which is not really that good but, in particular, children do see it as status to have seen film in 3D and pester power always works! I think this is why so many films in 3d are aimed at children.
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

I'd be interested to hear what comes out of the Big 3D debate at the Empire Big Screen. Last time I went to an industry event it was just unfiltered 3D praise and how it's here to stay, with no chance of a discussion.
