Re: Captain America: The First Avenger
I wonder if all this over subscribing is anything to do with the fact that people cancel tickets to get other tickets, but they've already got the print out?
Sorry for everyone that had wasted journeys, that is so annoying especially if you have children with you.
Getting there early is an answer but how early is early? Usually its 30 mins, so next time 45 mins then an hour? grrrr

Re: Captain America: The First Avenger
Well i always try and get there about 30-45 min early, but when its at Enfield its worrying as no one turns up that early, and the screen is rarely ready at that time. So usually im left just standing in the middle of the lobby by myself like an asshole. And i know that as soon as i count on that happening again and time for it, i will be last in queue (which nearly happened with Cappy ole boy). So i guess its an equilibrium between sacrifice of dignity or sacrifice or time/neck comfortvalda wrote:I wonder if all this over subscribing is anything to do with the fact that people cancel tickets to get other tickets, but they've already got the print out?

Re: Captain America: The First Avenger
It would have worked at the O2 today. They barely glanced at the printout and let your keep it. Sky is not even going to know who was present with which (cancelled) ticket.valda wrote:I wonder if all this over subscribing is anything to do with the fact that people cancel tickets to get other tickets, but they've already got the print out?

I am fortunate to have the OH keep seats for the Greenwich cinemas (I simply give him another printout, it's not cheating as we are not surpassing the number of people on the ticket!) but I can never be there earlier than 6pm myself.

I think you might be right Valda! They are trying to beat the alternate screening rule. I can only see it getting worse.
