What's Your Favourite Genre?
Re: What's Your Favourite Genre?
It's got to be romantic comedies for me. Easy to watch and they always cheer you up. Whilst they can be predictable, you're pretty much always guaranteed a happy ending. Also, my husband will also watch them too without too much protest!

Here here... though sadly not for the last sentence. I have to bargain gaming time for less what one might describe as trash TV and / or romcoms.splodgy wrote:It's got to be romantic comedies for me. Yes, for romantic comedies I'm definitely on my own or with a friend - no point asking OH as even if he came, the derisive snorts would disturb others - those or the snores. I mentioned to him that "Love Happens" was due soon and that it was a rom-com with Jennifer Aniston. He replied that the 4 words "Jennifer Aniston" and "rom-com" in the same sentence told him all he needed to know.

My husband fancies Jennifer Aniston, which is quite handy!Ms Thrifty wrote:Yes, for romantic comedies I'm definitely on my own or with a friend - no point asking OH as even if he came, the derisive snorts would disturb others - those or the snores. Re: What's Your Favourite Genre?
I picked exactly the same three as you andrews! Give me a good thriller / drama then I'm all set. And I don't necessarily mean a period drama, but some of those are quite good.andrews wrote:Too generous, offering us three votes, Spanner. Thrillers, dramas and action movies do it for me, but since I've joined this site, I'm up for most genres, as you know.
Westerns, like horrors / and some Sci fi are on my all time worst list - so I didn't even realise it was missing from the options. I can't even think of one Western that I've seen and enjoyed.

Still keen on action films the best!
Haven't changed my mind either.

Re: What's Your Favourite Genre?
I picked Thriller, comedy and romantic comedy.
I like action as well depending on the film and a drama if it's good so I struggled picking 3!
Don't like most horror and sci fi

I've never even seen a documentary film - can't say I'd want to though!
I seem to be the only one but documentary gets one of my votes - I really enjoyed Food Inc and Yes Men Fix the World.
My other votes went to horror and foreign language/world cinema - I have rather eclectic taste!
